Not strictly, but they can help. Teens often rack up heavy evening screen time right when their sleep is most easily disrupted, and an amber lens before bed (plus a screen curfew) helps protect that sleep, which matters a lot for mood, focus, and growth.
For daytime, good habits, breaks, brightness, distance, and outdoor time, do more than any lens. So blue light glasses are a useful comfort-and-sleep tool for a screen-heavy teen, not a necessity.
