There's no strong evidence that blue light from screens causes macular degeneration, or that blue light glasses prevent it. The research linking blue light to retinal harm mostly involves intense lab conditions, not normal screen use, and major eye organizations don't recommend blue light glasses to prevent eye disease.
If you're concerned about macular degeneration, the things that genuinely matter are regular eye exams, not smoking, UV protection outdoors (sunglasses), and a healthy diet. Talk to an eye doctor, this is general information, not medical advice.
